3TA4 WESTERN REPUBLIC 2009

Last Wednesday(21-10-09),
Western attend a sandcastle competition held by INTI International College,
at Sandy Beach Resort, Penang.

Our school,
Chung Ling High School,
sent out 3 teams:-
Chung Ling High School (Team A)
Chung Ling High School (Team B)
Chung Ling High School (Team C)
each team consist of 12 pupils.

Our team,
Chung Ling High School (Team A),
lead by Koh Qi Xuan,
members are:-
Liow Ying Chen,
Boon Cheng Kai,
Lim Yang Kwang,
Ng Yan Xun,
Ang Wei Ying,
Wang Yong Xiang,
Lok Yuan Zhang,
Lim Yeong Zhi,
Leong Yu Kai,
Ooi Chun Lin,
and Ooi Kean Hean

So...
early in the morning,
we gathered up in front of school hall,
waiting to board the bus to sandy beach resort.


after that,
we had a briefing at the resort,
listen to a person (juga dikenali sebagai '娘娘的') giving a speech...
brief with us about the schedule,
giving out our equipment.



After that,
we were allotted to out plot...
we were given some time to plan our sandcastle...
our leader Qi Xuan brief with us our plan again.


First,
we spent less than 1 hour building the base,
a huge and tall base for our castle,
tight and compact,
while others were doing their job as given,
some carry sand while some take water.
others building up the base.

at the competition Ying Chen kena FIRST BLOOD.
the first participant who got injured.
but after that, he still came help build...

After building the base,
we started to build the main tower.
build ar... build ar...

the rain came down,
but we can't help it,

3 and the half hour passed,
our sandcastle had completed,
gt a little bit condong.

At the prize giving ceremony,
the result were out by several judges...
and the result...

2nd runner up : SMK St Xavier (Team A)
1st runner up : Chung Ling High School (Team A)
1st prize: Chung Ling Butterworth


Woots!!
we did expect to be 3rd,
but we didn't expect to be 2nd...
haha!!!
we can say that we were the happiest that day.
happy than 1st prize...


After the prize giving ceremony,
we went out and the weather was great.

So, we took pictures with our sandcastle.
